I’m Alisa Wylie.

I live, work and study in Glasgow, Scotland.

I am current student of English and Journalism & Creative Writing in my last year of study. I have contributed to the following publications: RavechildIndulge Sound, Overblown, the Strathclyde Telegraph, of which I was previously the Music Editor for in the year 2016/2017 and then elected Editor-in-Chief in 2017.

I also write on a freelance basis — I have been commissioned by Historic Scotland, DIY Magazine and Lustery POV. (This link is NSFW or ‘not safe for work, or really, in front of anyone if you’re uncomfortable with sexy time talks.)

In 2017, I was nominated in the Young Journalist of the Year Category at the Scottish Magazine Awards. This was out of 200+ applicants. There were six who were up for the award.

The whole of 2017 was a blur, but I still kept writing. A lot of it in private, to make sense of the chaos that was my personal life.

Most recently, I have been under the first ever #StoryLab trainee programme by Scottish journalist co-operative The Ferret.

For now? This is my little corner of the internet. I have an online portfolio, too – but I think for my own sanity and for my own archival purposes, I’m going to keep everything on this site.

I’m also on Twitter and Instagram because I’m a millennial and I guess you have to, these days.
